COMMIPHORA KATAF SUBSP. TURKANENSIS
This is a very interesting plant found in the Eastern part of Africa. In natural habitat, it can grow up to 5 meters in height.
I love this plant because of the unique skin of the bark. The bark is white papery and comes out at places. the leaves are pointed downwards. its a deciduous plant. So when I first got the plant in winter there were no leaves. only the stems. From Nov to March it was dormant. the first sign of leaves I noticed in the mid-March. I was over joyed to feel the first sign of life in the plant.
