CYPHOSTEMMA BETIFORMIS
This is a rare caudiciform plant from Kenya. I got this pla
nt in the month of November from Century plant Nursery in Bangalore. It's a deciduous plant and it loses all its leaves and goes into dormancy in winter. The same thing happened to my plant also. for 4 months it remained in dormancy. I have planted it in a coarse well-drained potting medium. Monthly once I had to give water for 4 winter months. The first sign of leaves appeared in March. The watering frequency also increased to weekly once. I added some vermicompost to give some extra boost. The plant is kept outside and receives 4 hours of full sun. The new leaves have grown longer making a beautiful specimen.
